Eleanor Higgins

Actor Profile

Eleanor Higgins is a London-based writer, performer and producer making bold, politically engaged theatre with heart and humour. Her work blends sharp comedy with lived experience, often exploring class, queerness, power and survival.

Her debut solo play In PurSUEt became a cult hit on the UK theatre scene, enjoying sold-out runs at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, VAULT Festival and on tour, establishing Eleanor as a distinctive new voice. Her second play, Wanted, is a queer crime-caper ensemble piece which premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it was shortlisted for the Popcorn Award and received wide critical and audience acclaim.

Eleanor has developed work with venues and organisations including Soho Theatre and Underbelly, and regularly collaborates with charities and community partners, using theatre as a tool for access, dialogue and social change. She is currently expanding her practice across touring, workshops and screen development.

She is based in East London and works across writing, performance and producing.
